    Anyhow

    Anyhow

Flexible concrete Error type built on std::error::Error

This is a Rust library (crate) that provides a flexible, concrete error type built atop the standard std::error::Error trait. Its primary goal is to make error handling in applications easy: instead of defining lots of custom error types, you can use anyhow::Error (or the alias anyhow::Result<T>) for fallible functions. The crate supports attaching context to errors, so you can convert a low-level error (like “file not found”) into one with richer diagnostics (“Failed to read instructions from path X”) using .context() or .with_context(). It supports downcasting (so you can inspect the underlying error type), and for recent versions of Rust, it will capture backtraces by default when the underlying error type doesn’t already. It also supports no_std mode (in limited form) by disabling default features. The README distinguishes it from library-oriented error crates (like thiserror): use anyhow when you just care about application-level error handling, not fine-grained types.

    Bot Framework Emulator

    Bot Framework Emulator

Locally test and debug chat bots built with the Bot Framework SDK

Bot Framework Emulator is a desktop application that allows bot developers to test and debug bots, either locally or remotely. Using the Emulator, you can chat with your bot and inspect the messages that your bot sends and receives. The Emulator displays messages as they would appear in a web chat UI and logs JSON requests and responses as you exchange messages with your bot. Before you deploy your bot to the cloud, run it locally and test it using the Emulator. You can test your bot using the Emulator even if you haven't yet created it with Azure Bot Service or configured it to run on any channels. Before connecting your bot to the Bot Framework Emulator, you need to run your bot locally. You can use Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code to run your bot, or use the command line. When you are developing behind a corporate proxy, the Emulator will use the configured environment variables HTTP_PROXY and HTTPS_PROXY, which specify the proxy URL route for HTTP and HTTPs requests.

    C# for Visual Studio Code

    C# for Visual Studio Code

C# support for Visual Studio Code (powered by OmniSharp)

Welcome to the C# extension for Visual Studio Code! This extension provides the following features inside VS Code. Lightweight development tools for .NET Core. Great C# editing support, including Syntax Highlighting, IntelliSense, Go to Definition, Find All References, etc. Debugging support for .NET Core (CoreCLR). Note: Mono debugging is not supported. Desktop CLR debugging has limited support. Support for project.json and csproj projects on Windows, macOS and Linux. .NET Framework builds of OmniSharp no longer ship with Mono or the MSBuild tooling (See announcement omnisharp-roslyn#2339). To ensure that the C# extension remains usable out of the box for .NET SDK projects, we have changed the default value of omnisharp.useModernNet to true.

    ProGuard

    ProGuard

    ProGuard, Java optimizer and obfuscator

ProGuard is a free shrinker, optimizer, obfuscator, and preverifier for Java bytecode. It detects and removes unused classes, fields, methods, and attributes. It optimizes bytecode and removes unused instructions. It renames the remaining classes, fields, and methods using short meaningless names. ProGuard can be run as a task in Gradle. Before you can use the proguard task, you have to make sure Gradle can find it in its class path at build time. One way is to add the following line to your build.gradle file which will download ProGuard from Maven Central. ProGuard works like an advanced optimizing compiler, removing unused classes, fields, methods, and attributes, shortening identifiers, merging classes, inlining methods, propagating constants, removing unused parameters, etc.

    QR Code generator library

    QR Code generator library

High-quality QR Code generator library in Java, TypeScript/JavaScript

This project aims to be the best, clearest library for generating QR Codes. My primary goals are flexible options and absolute correctness. The secondary goals are compact implementation size and good documentation comments. This work is an independent implementation based on reading the official ISO specification documents. I believe that my library has a more intuitive API and shorter code length than competing libraries out there. The library is designed first in Java and then ported to TypeScript, Python, Rust, C++, and C. It is open source under the MIT License. For each language, the codebase is roughly 1000 lines of code and has no dependencies other than the respective language’s standard library.

    Telegraf

    Telegraf

The plugin-driven server agent for collecting and reporting metrics

Telegraf is an agent for collecting, processing, aggregating, and writing metrics. Design goals are to have a minimal memory footprint with a plugin system so that developers in the community can easily add support for collecting metrics. Telegraf is plugin-driven and has the concept of 4 distinct plugin types. Input Plugins collect metrics from the system, services, or 3rd party APIs. Processor Plugins transform, decorate, and/or filter metrics. Aggregator Plugins create aggregate metrics (e.g. mean, min, max, quantiles, etc.). Output Plugins write metrics to various destinations. New plugins are designed to be easy to contribute, pull requests are welcomed and we work to incorporate as many pull requests as possible. You can try Telegraf right in your browser in the Telegraf playground. Telegraf shares the same minimum requirements as Go.

    WebDriverManager

    WebDriverManager

Automated driver management and helper features for Selenium WebDriver

WebDriverManager is an open-source Java library that carries out the management (i.e., download, setup, and maintenance) of the drivers required by Selenium WebDriver (e.g., chromedriver, geckodriver, msedgedriver, etc.) in a fully automated manner. In addition, WebDriverManager provides other relevant features, such as the capability to discover browsers installed in the local system, building WebDriver objects (such as ChromeDriver, FirefoxDriver, EdgeDriver, etc.), and running browsers in Docker containers seamlessly. The primary use of WebDriverManager is the automation of driver management. For using this feature, you need to select a given manager in the WebDriverManager API (e.g., chromedriver() for Chrome) and invoke the method setup(). The following example shows the skeleton of a test case using JUnit 5, Selenium WebDriver, and WebDriverManager.

    deej

    deej

Set app volumes with real sliders! Arduino project to build hardware

deej is an open-source hardware volume mixer for Windows and Linux PCs. It lets you use real-life sliders (like a DJ!) to seamlessly control the volumes of different apps (such as your music player, the game you're playing and your voice chat session) without having to stop what you're doing. Control your microphone's input level. Lightweight desktop client, consuming around 10MB of memory. Runs from your system tray. Helpful notifications to let you know if something isn't working. The sliders are connected to 5 (or as many as you like) analog pins on an Arduino Nano/Uno board. They're powered from the board's 5V output (see schematic). The board connects via a USB cable to the PC. The code running on the Arduino board is a C program constantly writing current slider values over its serial interface. The PC runs a lightweight Go client in the background. This client reads the serial stream and adjusts app volumes according to the given configuration file.
