Intel® RealSense™ SDK 2.0 is a cross-platform library for Intel® RealSense™ depth cameras. The SDK allows depth and color streaming and provides intrinsic and extrinsic calibration information. The library also offers synthetic streams (point cloud, depth aligned to color and vise-versa), and built-in support for recording and playback of streaming sessions. Intel has EOLed the LiDAR, Facial Authentication, and Tracking product lines. These products have been discontinued and will no longer be available for new orders. Intel WILL continue to sell and support stereo products including the following: D410, D415, D430, , D401 ,D450 modules and D415, D435, D435i, D435f, D405, D455, D457 depth cameras. We will also continue the work to support and develop our LibRealSense open source SDK. -

It was originally designed to perform comparison between two 3D points clouds (such as the ones obtained with a laser scanner) or between a point cloud and a triangular mesh. It relies on an octree structure that is highly optimized for this particular use-case. It was also meant to deal with huge point clouds (typically more than 10 million points, and up to 120 million with 2 GB of memory). -

Objectron
A dataset of short, object-centric video clips
The Objectron dataset is a collection of short, object-centric video clips, which are accompanied by AR session metadata that includes camera poses, sparse point-clouds and characterization of the planar surfaces in the surrounding environment. In each video, the camera moves around the object, capturing it from different angles. The data also contain manually annotated 3D bounding boxes for each object, which describe the object’s position, orientation, and dimensions. The dataset consists of 15K annotated video clips supplemented with over 4M annotated images in the following categories: bikes, books, bottles, cameras, cereal boxes, chairs, cups, laptops, and shoes. In addition, to ensure geo-diversity, our dataset is collected from 10 countries across five continents. Along with the dataset, we are also sharing a 3D object detection solution for four categories of objects — shoes, chairs, mugs, and cameras. -

This page will introduce the general concept of point clouds and illustrate the capabilities of pyntcloud as a point cloud processing tool. Point clouds are one of the most relevant entities for representing three dimensional data these days, along with polygonal meshes (which are just a special case of point clouds with connectivity graph attached). In its simplest form, a point cloud is a set of points in a cartesian coordinate system. Accurate 3D point clouds can nowadays be (easily and cheaply) acquired from different sources. pyntcloud enables simple and interactive exploration of point cloud data, regardless of which sensor was used to generate it or what the use case is. Although it was built for being used on Jupyter Notebooks, the library is suitable for other kinds of uses. pyntcloud is composed of several modules (as independent as possible) that englobe common point cloud processing operations. -

Discontinuity Set Extractor (DSE) is programmed by Adrián Riquelme for testing part of his PdD studies. Its aim is to extract discontinuity sets from a rock mass. The input data is a 3D point cloud, which can be acquired by means of a 3D laser scanner (LiDAR or TLS), digital photogrammetry techniques (such as SfM) or synthetic data. It applies a proposed methodology to semi-automatically identify points members of an unorganised 3D point cloud that are arranged in 3D space by planes.

The dynamic_robot_localization is a ROS package that offers 3 DoF and 6 DoF localization using PCL and allows dynamic map update using OctoMap. It's a modular localization pipeline, that can be configured using yaml files (detailed configuration layout available in drl_configs.yaml and examples of configurations available in guardian_config and dynamic_robot_localization_tests). Even though this package was developed for robot self-localization and mapping, it was implemented as a generic, configurable and extensible point cloud matching library, allowing its usage in related problems such as estimation of the 6 DoF pose of an object and 3D object scanning. -
