Maxima -- GPL CAS based on DOE-MACSYMA
Computer Algebra System written in Common Lisp
Maxima is a computer algebra system comparable to commercial systems like Mathematica and Maple. It emphasizes symbolic mathematical computation: algebra, trigonometry, calculus, and much more. For example, Maxima solves x^2-r*x-s^2-r*s=0, giving the symbolic results [x=r+s, x=-s]. It can also calculate with exact integers and fractions, native floating-point, and high-precision big floats. Maxima has user-friendly front-ends, an online manual, plotting commands, and numerical libraries. It features its own programming language, and many users have contributed useful packages in various areas over the decades. It is GPL-licensed and largely written in Common Lisp. Executables can be downloaded for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android; source code is also available. An active community maintains and extends the system. Canon EOS DIGITAL Info
Utility for Reading/ editing some Infos on Canon EOS DSLRs
Canon doesn’t have shutter count included on the EXIF information of an image file, as opposed to Nikon and Pentax. There’s no official Canon based application to find the shutter count for an EOS DSLR. However, there are a few free tools that may help you to do this. They provide some details about the camera, including product Name, firmware version, battery level, shutter Counter, date/time, and owner/artist/copyright strings. But it does not support this features: Editing the owner/artist/copyright and synchronizing date/time within the local PC's date/time. For that, I wrote a new utility that includes all these features by integrating those that were missing. I uses an official Canon SDK (Canon ED-SDK) to retrieve and set all camera information (shutter count is retrieved via an undocumented function). ShredOS

For all Intel and compatible 64 & 32 bit processors. ShredOS is a USB bootable (BIOS or UEFI) small linux distribution with the sole purpose of securely erasing the entire contents of your disks using the program nwipe. If you are familiar with dwipe from DBAN then you will feel right at home with ShredOS and nwipe. What are the advantages of nwipe over dwipe/DBAN? Well as everybody probably knows, DBAN development stopped in 2015 which means it has not received any further bug fixes or support for new hardware since that date. Nwipe originally was a fork of dwipe but has continued to have improvements and bug fixes and is now available in many Linux distros. ShredOS hopefully will always provide the latest nwipe on a up to date Linux kernel so it will support modern hardware. -
