flickrit is a shell script that will upload to flickr.com a single image file, a batch of image files, all the image files in a current directory, or upload all image files recursively down all sub-directories in a tree. flickrit uploads the filename in its original form. The directory name and all words in a filename are converted to "tags". Optionally, additional tags can be added manually to all the image files being uploaded. Taxoblast splits genomic scaffolds into sub-sequences of defined length and for each of them determines the closest related taxon. It then summarizes this information for the entire scaffold, taking into account the taxonomic ontology. Scaffolds that exclusively match potential contaminants may be safely removed while sequences matching partially contaminants and partially the target organism may constitute horizontal transfers or assembly artifacts and need to be examined manually. -
