    Reduce.jl

    Reduce.jl

Symbolic parser for Julia language term rewriting using REDUCE algebra

REDUCE is a portable general-purpose computer algebra system. It is a system for doing scalar, vector and matrix algebra by computer, which also supports arbitrary precision numerical approximation and interfaces to gnuplot to provide graphics. It can be used interactively for simple calculations (as illustrated in the screenshot below) but also provides a full programming language, with a syntax similar to other modern programming languages. REDUCE supports alternative user interfaces including Run-REDUCE, TeXmacs and GNU Emacs. REDUCE (and its complete source code) is available free of charge for most common computing systems, in some cases in more than one version for the same machine. The manual and other support documents and tutorials are also included in the distributions.

    Roots.jl

    Roots.jl

    Root finding functions for Julia

This package contains simple routines for finding roots, or zeros, of scalar functions of a single real variable using floating-point math. The find_zero function provides the primary interface. The basic call is find_zero(f, x0, [M], [p]; kws...) where, typically, f is a function, x0 a starting point or bracketing interval, M is used to adjust the default algorithms used, and p can be used to pass in parameters. Bisection-like algorithms. For functions where a bracketing interval is known (one where f(a) and f(b) have alternate signs), a bracketing method, like Bisection, can be specified. The default is Bisection, for most floating point number types, employed in a manner exploiting floating point storage conventions. For other number types (e.g. BigFloat), an algorithm of Alefeld, Potra, and Shi is used by default. These default methods are guaranteed to converge. Other bracketing methods are available.

    Semiotic

    Semiotic

A data visualization framework combining React & D3

Semiotic is a data visualization framework combining React & D3. It provides three types of frames XYFrame, OrdinalFrame, NetworkFrame, to deploy a wide variety of charts. XY data i.e. line charts and scatterplots. Categorical data i.e. bar charts, violin plots, parallel coordinates. Topological and network data i.e. flow diagrams, network visualization, and hierarchical views. A guide for creating a line chart, timeseries, difference line, and line percents using XYFrame along with hover behavior, responsive dimensions, and styling. XYFrame takes lines as an object or an array of objects. Each object represents a line. Every object needs a coordinates property with the array of points for that line. The points will be rendered in the order of that array. You can use a key other than coordinates by changing the lineDataAccessor props.

    Sweetviz

    Sweetviz

Visualize and compare datasets, target values and associations

Sweetviz is an open-source Python library that generates beautiful, high-density visualizations to kickstart EDA (Exploratory Data Analysis) with just two lines of code. Output is a fully self-contained HTML application. The system is built around quickly visualizing target values and comparing datasets. Its goal is to help quick analysis of target characteristics, training vs testing data, and other such data characterization tasks. Shows how a target value (e.g. "Survived" in the Titanic dataset) relates to other features. Sweetviz integrates associations for numerical (Pearson's correlation), categorical (uncertainty coefficient) and categorical-numerical (correlation ratio) datatypes seamlessly, to provide maximum information for all data types. Automatically detects numerical, categorical and text features, with optional manual overrides. min/max/range, quartiles, mean, mode, standard deviation, sum, median absolute deviation, coefficient of variation, kurtosis, skewness.

    deck.gl

    deck.gl

    WebGL2 powered visualization framework

deck.gl is designed to simplify high-performance, WebGL-based visualization of large data sets. Users can quickly get impressive visual results with minimal effort by composing existing layers, or leveraging deck.gl's extensible architecture to address customer needs. deck.gl maps data (usually an array of JSON objects) into a stack of visual layers - e.g. icons, polygons, texts; and look at them with views: e.g. map, first-person, orthographic. deck.gl handles a number of challenges out of the box. Deck.gl is designed to be highly customizable. All layers come with flexible APIs to allow programmatic control of each aspect of the rendering. All core classes such are easily extendable by the users to address custom use cases. deck.gl is part of vis.gl, an OpenJS Foundation project. Read the contribution guidelines if you are interested in contributing.

    electricityMap

    electricityMap

A real-time visualisation of the CO2 emissions of electricity

Real-time visualization of the Greenhouse Gas (in terms of CO2 equivalent) footprint of electricity consumption built with d3.js and mapbox GL. Real-time data is defined as a data source with an hourly (or better) frequency, delayed by less than 2hrs. It should provide a breakdown by generation type. Often fossil fuel generation (coal/gas/oil) is combined under a single heading like 'thermal' or 'conventional', this is not a problem. Citizens should not be responsible for the emissions associated with all the products they export, but only for what they consume. Consumption-based accounting (CBA) is a very important aspect of climate policy and allows assigning responsibility to consumers instead of producers. Furthermore, this method is robust to governments relocating dirty production to neighboring countries in order to green their image while still importing from it.

    ggrepel

    ggrepel

epel overlapping text labels away from each other in your ggplot2

ggrepel is an R package that provides “smart” repulsion for text and label geoms in ggplot2. When placing text labels on a plot (e.g. labeling points), the labels can often overlap; ggrepel ensures labels don’t overlap (or overlap less) by repelling labels / pushing them away, adding connecting lines or nudges, etc. It improves the readability of plots, especially when many labels are present. Support for point and segment geoms (so labels can be connected by lines when moved). Supports both plotting of labels inside or outside plot area, with trimming/clipping etc.

    gt R

    gt R

    Easily generate information-rich, publication-quality tables from R

With the gt package, anyone can make wonderful-looking tables using the R programming language. The gt philosophy: we can construct a wide variety of useful tables with a cohesive set of table parts. These include the table header, the stub, the column labels and spanner column labels, the table body, and the table footer. It all begins with table data (be it a tibble or a data frame). You then decide how to compose your gt table with the elements and formatting you need for the task at hand. Finally, the table is rendered by printing it at the console, including it in an R Markdown document, or exporting it to a file using gtsave(). Currently, gt supports the HTML, LaTeX, and RTF output formats.

    vue-chartjs

    vue-chartjs

    Vue.js wrapper for Chart.js

vue-chartjs is a wrapper for Chart.js in vue. You can easily create reusable chart components. You can use vue-chartjs directly in the browser without any build setup. Like in this codepen. For this case, please use the vue-chartjs.min.js which is the minified version. You also need to add the Chart.js CDN script. Chart.js does not update or re-render the chart if new data is passed. However, you can simply implement this on your own or use one of the two mixins which are included. The mixins automatically create chartData as a prop or data. And add a watcher. If data has changed, the chart will update. However, keep in mind the limitations of vue and javascript for mutations on arrays and objects. It is important that you pass your options in a local variable named options! You can create your components in Vues single file components.
