Selfie is a project of the Computational Systems Group at the Department of Computer Sciences of the University of Salzburg in Austria. The Selfie Project provides an educational platform for teaching undergraduate and graduate students the design and implementation of programming languages and runtime systems. The focus is on the construction of compilers, libraries, operating systems, and even virtual machine monitors. The common theme is to identify and resolve self-reference in systems code which is seen as the key challenge when teaching systems engineering, hence the name. Selfie is implemented in a single (!) file and kept minimal for simplicity. There is also a simple in-memory linker, a RISC-U disassembler, a garbage collector, L1 instruction and data caches, a profiler, and a debugger with replay.

    Gluon is a static, type inferred and embeddable language written in Rust. Gluon is a small, statically-typed, functional programming language designed for application embedding. Static typing makes it easier to write safe and efficient interfaces between gluon and the host application. Type inference ensures that types rarely have to be written explicitly giving all the benefits of static types with none of the typing. Marshalling values to and from gluon requires next to no boilerplate, allowing functions defined in Rust to be directly passed to gluon. Gluon supports Unicode out of the box with utf-8 encoded strings and Unicode codepoints as characters. Gluon is a garbage-collected language but uses a separate heap for each executing gluon thread. This keeps each heap small, reducing the overhead of the garbage collector. Gluon is written in Rust, which guarantees thread safety. Gluon keeps the same guarantees, allowing multiple gluon programs to run in parallel.

    ispc is a compiler for a variant of the C programming language, with extensions for single programs, and multiple data programming. Under the SPMD model, the programmer writes a program that generally appears to be a regular serial program, though the execution model is actually that a number of program instances execute in parallel on the hardware. ispc compiles a C-based SPMD programming language to run on the SIMD units of CPUs and GPUs; it frequently provides a 3x or more speedup on architectures with 4-wide vector SSE units and 5x-6x on architectures with 8-wide AVX vector units, without any of the difficulty of writing intrinsics code. Parallelization across multiple cores is also supported by ispc, making it possible to write programs that achieve performance improvement that scales by both numbers of cores and vector unit size. Build a small set of extensions to the C language that would deliver excellent performance to performance-oriented programmers.

    Extract internal monitoring data from application logs for collection in a time-series database. mtail is a tool for extracting metrics from application logs to be exported into a timeseries database or timeseries calculator for alerting and dashboarding. It fills a monitoring niche by being the glue between applications that do not export their own internal state (other than via logs) and existing monitoring systems, such that system operators do not need to patch those applications to instrument them or writing custom extraction code for every such application. The extraction is controlled by mtail programs which define patterns and actions. Metrics are exported for scraping by a collector as JSON or Prometheus format over HTTP, or can be periodically sent to a collectd, StatsD, or Graphite collector socket. Precompiled binaries for released versions are available in the Releases page on Github. Using the latest production release binary is the recommended way of installing mtail.

Generally 7-zip opens NSI[exe] files - since 9.33 [2014-06-15] there should be additionally the file [NSIS].nsi inside, that is the decompiled setup script. Attention this NSIS decompilation was disabled in 7z 15.06. So last version that officially **supports NSIS Script decompilation** is 7z **15.05** https://sourceforge.net/projects/sevenzip/files/7-Zip/15.05/ (2015-06-15) -> 7-zip 15.10 no longer decompiles NSIS script http://bit.do/7zNoMoreNSIS ^-however doing a private build you may get it back(more details in the post).

The FreeBASIC Documentation, the FreeBASIC Community Forum, and A old beginners guide written by Richard D. Clark and Ebben Feagan. Each of these sources are great, but they all assume some experience with a programming language. This Project is taking Richard D. Clark's and Ebben Feagan's "A Beginner's Guide to FreeBasic" and is editing, updating, reorganizing, and simplifying this guide. Mr. Clark and Mr. Feagan generously open sourced there guide so I could start this project. Without being able to stand on their shoulders I could not have even started this project.
