Free and Open Source Technical Analysis Charting Software
QChartist is a free and open source technical analysis charting software. Its purpose is to provide a complete set of tools to perform technical analysis on charts and data. It helps to make forecasts mainly for markets but can also be used for weather or any quantifiable data. The program is flexible and its functionalities can be easily extended. You can draw geometrical shapes on your charts or plot programmable indicators from your data. It is also possible to filter or merge data. I got a little inspired from MT4 allowing a fairly easy portability of programmed indicators from MT4 to QChartist. It is now faster and much more professional thanks to the use of a C++ layer (used mostly for calculations) over the standard Basic layer (used mostly for the GUI interface). You can use astro indicators and functions from a library for astronomical calculations. You can get real time quotations thanks to Yahoo Finance, Alpha Vantage, Tiingo, Stooq, Finnhub and Twelvedata data sources. -

OOoLilyPond (OLy) is an Extension for OpenOffice.org and LibreOffice. With OLy, you can include musical notation within text and presentation documents. The music expressions are entered as text codes and translated to images (png or eps) using LilyPond. The development has moved to GitHub (https://github.com/openlilylib/LO-ly). This application is intended to give abilities of calculating physical measures and draw charts, related to the aspect of the movement of sphere - shaped projectiles, ejected to reach some range. With the help of FreeBalistic you can fast calculate such measures as: height of bullet after specified time, height for given range, max height of bullet, range after given time, range to get max height, range to the end of move, time to get given range, time to get max height, time to get end of move. The app is currently in the middle state of development, and will recive at least one update. The curent target of this project is to achieve modification of chart display, that allows to show all scope of calculated values. KeyParaStocX (Keyword-based Paragraph Styling and Table of Contents eXtension) is a LibreOffice/Apache OpenOffice/OpenOffice.org extension that searches for the configured keywords in a text, changes their style and builds a Table of Contents for them, up to 7 levels. Easy install for Windows and OS X with this new and final version 1.2.2; click and play! When there is a task that has to be done by you, you activate the macro (through a keystroke or by using the menu). A window box comes up, where you can fill in the subject of the task, the due date and some other details. The macro also records in the background the filename if you were making minutes at the moment, the current date and a paragraph selected with text (hopefully related to that action). If no text is selected, no text is recorded. Afterwards you can call a report, from a database called TakenDB.odb, from within Writer. It gives all the unfinished tasks, sorted on priority. That database also contains other useful reports, which you can use if you open the database with Open Office Base. The database also contains a form where you can browse through all the tasks and make changes. I use this extension on a daily basis for my work.
