It automates the identification and matching of detected celestial objects in locally captured FITS images with entries in large-scale sky catalogs, notably Pan-STARRS1 DR2 (II/389/ps1_dr2). The toolkit supports data preprocessing, coordinate correlation, and catalog-based validation of astronomical detections. All tools are open-source and optimized for reproducibility and transparency in citizen science astronomy. -

sidmon is a python program for receiving and recording submarine-transmitter signal intensities and directions in the VLF frequency range using a computer sound card. The intensities of these signals reflect the ability of radio waves at those wavelengths to propagate in what is essentially a waveguide formed by the earth and the ionosphere above it. Fluctuations in those signal intensities and directions often reflect daytime perturbations of the ionosphere by solar processes, such as solar flares and coronal mass ejections, making VLF receivers useful tools for probing the sun and the earth's ionosphere. ... -

Cosmic ray electrons scatter on the photon fields around stars, including the sun, to create gamma rays by the inverse Compton effect. This program computes the spectrum and angular distribution of this emission. The software also includes general-purpose routines for inverse Compton scattering on a given electron spectrum, for example for interstellar or astrophysical source modelling. MieConScat is a GUI/Console program for generating MIE SCATtering data as a table of cross sections. It can generate scattering cross sections over specified angular ranges and total absorption cross sections. It was initially developed to aid work with optical particle counters (OPC) especially when CONverting data between cross section and diameter space.
