@cchris: I think the SF download counters only get updated once a day or something, or at most every few hours, so it usually sticks to 0 for a while.
@bubblebath: ftp_s tends to only partially download files without warning and can deadlock or otherwise cause mischievous behaviour, hence the blacklist. I'm still hoping for a new plugin. In any case, in the plugins forum some custom versions...

I was able to download 5.6 official, even though the 0 value of the counter hints at something weird at SF. Using the default theme to view a C file, braces are matched in a consistent manner.
What theme and what highlighter cause brace matching to "not work", and how doesn't it work?

Hi,
bin gerade zufällig auf die Lösung gestoßen: In "Einstellungen/Stile" unter "Brace highlight style" die Schriftgröße auf die gleiche setzen wie bei "Default style". dann rutschen alle Zeile zusammen...

The MATLAB highlighting mode doesn't recognize the %{ %} multi-line highlighting mode. Everything between the delimiters should be marked as a comment; instead only the delimiter lines themselves are.

I actually had the same installation process (n++ was running) so i had to close it mid installation, click retry etc. May or may not be related, but still its more info!

That line there controls the style for it.

Exactly, my situation was identical to yours. A little more info for Don about my upgrade process:
- I downloaded the installer and started it
- got a dialog box with a warning (something like a file not being writable)
- closed N++ (files were saved, but not closed)
- clicked 'retry' in the dialog box
- install finished like expected
- started N++ again
This is when the errors occurred.
