wenn ich bei einer Datei das Kontextmenü aufrufe, habe ich bei Notepad++ als Icon nur ein schwarzes Kästchen. Bei der Version 5.5 ist da noch in Ordnung. Das gilt für XP, Vista und auch W7 - mit Directory Opus - [link text][1] Im Windows Explorer ist das Icon korrekt dargestellt!
Wie kann man das wieder richten?

Ja, es ist traurigerweise bekannt, daß Suchen und Ersetzen noch nicht in den Makros implementiert wurde.
Im Manual unter "Macros" heißt es:
"Currently (v5.4.3), macro's cannot save Find(/Replace) operations. "
Ich würde es auch brauchen, weil ich einige Datein öfters auf dieselbe Art und Weise umformatieren muss.

Thanks, it took me ages to figure out where to set it in XML mode - but as I checked the setting "Enable auto-validation" - that makes it happen!
Thanx a bundle, that saved my day (and many more to come)!
Comment-uncomment works now too - wow, I **REALLY** missed that a lot!
I used to use Eclipse - but that's a bit heavy for just text-editing. Takes ages to start up.

Auto-close tags works in both XML Tools plugin and the TextFX plugin (TextFX, TextFX Settings, autoclose XML/HTML tag). The only thing I can think is that you're not in the XML mode - both are sensitive to this.
P.S. Don't enable both of these, or you'll get two close tags!

Hm, I doubt it - just tested the plugin; I can define up to 30 tags which requires me to have a well defined list of most used tags. I don't have that.
I open an xml file (out of about 3000 xml files in my current application). I want to add a random tag, I start typing:

View -> Show symbol -> Whow wrap symbol
If you still don't have this entry, please tell us what language is your GUI in, as a localisation file mismatch might be the most likely cause. If using something other than english, try closing Notepad++, deleting nativelang.xml and reopen Notepad++, then set localisation again - such a forced update may be the simplest cure.
