If you're going to do this, please use the same config language as the Linux kernel uses. You can have help text, sub menus, constrained values, multiple-choice values, etc. Multiple user interfaces are already available. This includes a GTK GUI, a Qt GUI, some other X GUI, a curses-style GUI, a dumb text mode GUI, and a few others. A few other projects are already using it. You get to choose the option prefix; the choice of "CONFIG_" is not mandated. (it seems perfectly sensible though) |
