Also, tuxpaint having yet a colorpicker, it should not be difficult to specify the colors, being black and white the default. I agree with you that would be a great idea and there are obviously another number of tools that would benefit from the ability to control some sort of variable. Unfortunatly the magic tools api has no facility to have this sort of feature. I belive that kendrick is very interested in adding this to the program but its rather singificant proposal. > > Silhouette tool - A sobel edge map > > Trace Contour - Similar to the same name plugin in photoshop, trace > the edges of the image in colour > > Blur All - A full image gaussian blur > > Snowball - Adds snowballs to the image > > Snowflake - Adds snowflakes to the image Are Snow* the same with different images?, if yes, maybe you can join both and add an image chooser. I can imagine flowers: adds flowers to the image. fish: adds fishes to the image. coral: adds corals to the image, sandstorm: adds sand to the image, etc. Snowflake does indeed use an image however snowballs simply draws white circles. It would be great to be able to add other images in a similar fashion however that would either require lots of tools (a bit messy and overengineered in my opinion) or a modification to the plugin api to allow the selection of images inside a magic tool. I can imagine too they will follow the sparkles evolution from magic to brush, but I am speaking withouth knowing your work. > > Sharpen - enhance the edges of the image to make it "pop" more > I'm also in the process of working on several ideas, namely a tool to > add random noise to the image, a mosaic tool, a jigsaw tool and a > clustering tool that will segment the image into only a small number > of colours. If anyone has any comments, or suggestions for new tools > that they would like to see implemented Id love to hear them. some ideas: rain: like glass tile but with random water drops instead of squares glass sand: like glass tile but with very small squares or triangles and saturating the colors. railroad: draw a railroad, automatically joining rails when crossing Those sound like some very interesting ideas - I'll definatly look into them.
