Dear Blake, No, you're NOT a d***s and your question is not that obvious, to me at least. I myself don't know the answer. If no one else does, I'd suggest to let SciGraphica develop for some more time and use another package for curve fitting (my suggestion: Grace; it has a nice GUI and is more mature, but only works for 2D). Don't forget: SG has not yet even reached the "1.0" development status. It's still in pre-mature state of 0.8 release! The development of SG is currently a bit shaky, if you ask me. CVS development has come to a total standstill, which is quite discouraging the development by others (though the team is still fairly small; too small if you ask me). Adrian (key developer) seems to have improved the code a lot, but is doing that on his own PC at home without releasing this to CVS. So improved and up-to-date SG is hidden in the mist somewhere. (Adrian, what's up at your end?!?!). I hope SG development may regain its momentum in the near future, since the current situation may scare people away to use other packages instead. Argh, enough complaints from my side. Adrian, push your latest code into CVS and encourage/increase the community that will start working/improving the code. Best regards, Rob. |
