Hi all, =20 I was just toying around with Peter's/Cendio's SeamlessRDP functionality within a compiled version of rdesktop in cygwin. I'm putting this out there to see if anyone is experiencing the same quirky-ness I'm seeing. I'm starting cygwin's xwin with these flags: "-rootless -multiplemonitors -clipboard -swcursor -silent-dup-error" so it'll start a rootless xsession across all of my monitors. Then for a test, I'll run: rdesktop.exe -A -s "c:\seamlessRDP\seamlessRDPshell.exe c:\windows\notepad.exe" -a 16 -P -b -z -K -N testserver. It'll work PERFECTLY. Launches notepad and it's capable of being positioned anywhere on any of my screens (I have 8 and they all run at 1600x1200 and RDP is limited to 4096x2048 so this is why I'm testing this out). =20 =20 The quirk I'm running into is in terms of minimizing. If I minimize the notepad, it'll minimize inside the Windows session on the server but won't minimize the actual rdesktop app. So what I'm left with is an empty square (where the actual notepad resided) on the desktop with no way of restoring the notepad window. Was wondering if anyone has ever tried this out and if there was a way to fix it. I can't run the xserver in multiwindow mode because I want to have a heterogenious environment of running both windows apps and seamless rdesktop windows on the same desktop. It's basically SO close to Citrix's published apps that it's tempting to use this method for app distribution. =20 Regards, -- Adam =20 |
