The Canny Observer talent adds +4 to Perception when she makes a Perception check to hear the details of a conversation or to find concealed or secret objects (including doors and traps).

So really, this talent needs to add that +4 to the Rogue's Perception(Trapfinding) skill already as it ALWAYS applies to that skill check.
