Category: Documentation Clarification Group: For 6.0 >Status: Closed Resolution: None Priority: 6 Private: No Submitted By: LegacyKing (amaitland) >Assigned to: Maredudd (maredudd800) Summary: KIT - Need to mention RACE in a kit requires !PRERACE:1,% Initial Comment: In the Kit file, a RACE:x must have a !PRERACE:1,% on it if the Kit is called by a Race. Otherwise you'll get an infinite loop. Example: Race Foo has KIT:1|Default Foo STARTPACK:Default Foo RACE:Foo !PRERACE:1,% Without the !PRERACE:1,% the Race will add the kit, the kit will then add the Kit, the kit adds the race, etc., etc. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Maredudd (maredudd800) Date: 2010-06-24 23:29 Message: This tracker has been replaced by the following JIRA tracker: http://jira.pcgen.org/browse/DOCS-2 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Martijn Verburg (karianna) Date: 2010-01-13 10:05 Message: See http://jira.pcgen-test.org/browse/DOCS-2 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Maredudd (maredudd800) Date: 2009-09-14 16:10 Message: This would be better addressed in the Global Other docs under the KIT tag. Otherwise it belongs in a LST Class on Kits. Would you agree Drew? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Maredudd (maredudd800) Date: 2009-08-07 07:05 Message: I understand that its the code that crashes, but are you sure it isn't the way the data is coded up? If we didn't include a KIT tag in the Race entry in the Race file would we still have this problem? If not, then the problem is driven by a data implementation issue and I don't think we should 'document' such issues in the tag docs. We need to document how the tags work, not how our included data implementations work. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: LegacyKing (amaitland) Date: 2009-08-07 01:46 Message: Code requires this at the present time. Without it, you'll have a crashed program stuck in an endless loop cycle. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Maredudd (maredudd800) Date: 2009-08-06 17:33 Message: Is this driven by code or by the implementation of the data file? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=748234&aid=2831005&group_id=25576 |
