Category: Documentation Clarification Group: For 5.14 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Tom Parker (thpr) Assigned to: Maredudd (maredudd800) >Summary: Integrate Feat File Tag and Ability File Tag Docs Initial Comment: Feat File Tags should be eliminated and a reference made to Ability File Tags, in my opinion. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Maredudd (maredudd800) Date: 2008-02-22 12:41 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1569765 Originator: NO Changing the summary to indicate the required task. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Tom Parker (thpr) Date: 2008-02-08 09:53 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1037926 Originator: YES FEAT is not deprecated, and thus must remain whole in 5.14 in Domain, Race, and Template file docs. As for the "Feat File Tags" section, I'd wholly agree that could be integrated with Abilities in order to eliminate duplication... but keeping around the header for "Feat File Tags" is probably smart, since one can still define a feat file in a PCC. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Martijn Verburg (karianna) Date: 2008-02-08 09:37 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=252169 Originator: NO Dropping back into 5.14, we have the ABILITY object now. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Maredudd (maredudd800) Date: 2007-05-23 13:49 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1569765 Originator: NO Update the docs to remove the FEAT tags docs from the Domain, Race, and Template file docs. I'm assuming this will also be a good time to remove the Feat file docs . . . FROM pcgen_experimental . . . On 5/22/07, Eric C. Right? Deprecation will be in the 5.13.x series, IIRC. FEAT in Starting kits will stay (different behavior, NOT global). Domains / Race / Templates will go (with a conversion in prettylst to ABILITY:FEAT|AUTOMATIC or whatever). -- Tir Gwaith PCGen LST Chimp ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Tom Parker (thpr) Date: 2007-05-15 23:24 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1037926 Originator: YES Agree, this is probably best NOT done in 5.12 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Maredudd (maredudd800) Date: 2007-05-13 23:44 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1569765 Originator: NO When is he Ability Object scheduled to be complete, with all fuctionality? If it is not until after 5.12, then maybe this tacker needs to be puched out. Also, in looking at the Ability File Tags page, it needs some major work before it will be ready so maybe this tag needs to be recast as a generic 'Replace the FEAT page with the ABILITY page' and then plan on it being done in time for 6.0. What is the time framfor 6.0?
