Support Requests item #1635457, was opened at 2007-01-15 11:11 Message generated for change (Comment added) made by jdempsey You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=384720&aid=1635457&group_id=25576 Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: Campaign Loading Group: For 5.12 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Rokkon01 (rokkon01) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: All of my custom data keeps getting randomly deleted Initial Comment: Whenever I create a new race or whatever, it eventually gets deleted for no apparent reason. First, I make the custom thing (and yes, I remember to save it). Then, when I try to load it later for editing, it doesn't load. I close and reopen the editor menu, and it isn't even there anymore. Then I check the custom data files, and all information about the specific thing I created is gone without a trace. It usually happens mere minutes (sometimes seconds) after I create it, so I know it can't be another user of my computer (not that anyone else uses my computer anyway). I already did multiple complete spyware scans, so that can't be the problem. Can anyone help me? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: James Dempsey (jdempsey) Date: 2007-02-26 21:45 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=558288 Originator: NO Looking through the info you sent me I think you have picked out a number of problems in our shipped data and the program. I list those below and then raise them individually for correction. However it also looks like you are loading a lot of data files that are not meant to be loaded together and this is likely to be what is causing the problem. For example, The cityscape file is code to be loaded on its own and not require the SRD to be loaded with it. I would also expect problems with the modern data missing with SRD/RSRD data. What sources do you have loaded (just a rough idea - all from game modes x y and z, or a brief description of the subset if not) and how have you defined the game mode to load all of the files? But if I am right in my assumption, I can only say that most of what I got for 'support' is people asking me if someone else has fixed it yet (which they ask some time after the last time I had answered the same question with a 'no') except for this one person who politely told me that the only thing he knew I could do about it was programming the custom files myself instead of making them using the editor. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Rokkon01 (rokkon01) Date: 2007-02-24 07:17 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1687929 Originator: YES Okay, I think I might know what you are asking.
