Category: Code Related (Add/Del/Improve) >Group: For 5.12 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Eddy Anthony (eddyanthony) Assigned to: Devon Jones (soulcatcher) Summary: OS Token IFF() to accept any JEP Boolean functions Initial Comment: This is a request specifically to allow the token IFF to work with JEP Boolean formulas. There are way too many FOR statements being used as IIF statements because IIF is too limiting. In more general terms it would be good to make JEP available in the OS code across the board, the math you can do in it now is limited. I've opened another FREQ for a boolean pre() function which if implemented with this FREQ would allow IFF to use any PRExxx tag. [1411065 ] pre("PRExxx") JEP Boolean function <https://sourceforge.net/tracker/? func=detail&atid=384722&aid=1411065&group_id=25576> ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Eddy Anthony (eddyanthony) Date: 2006-01-21 00:15 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=886893 > OK how would the syntax work, could it just be: > > IFF(<JEP boolean>) > > Or would you need to encapsulate it like: > > IFF(JEP[<JEP boolean>]) While we may have to keep the old syntax around for a while (for homebrew), I'd prefer the first: IIF(<JEP boolean>). Depreciate the other syntax, and ditch it completely in the future. Same for the rest of the OS tokens that take math, replace the very limited math with JEP.
