Category: Initiative Module >Group: To be Fixed for 5.12 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Eddy Anthony (eddyanthony) Assigned to: Tod Milam (tmilam) Summary: [GMGen] Initiative tag damage botton applies to wrong PC Initial Comment: Found these errors in 5.9.4 and 5.8.1 RC1 I was running a combat for a game using GMGen and found the the Damage, Heal and Stabilize bottons will not apply to the character highlighted, instead it is applied to the chatacracter who's turn it is. To replicate open a few characters and start a combat, click next Initiative a few times to get things going. Click on a character who's turn it is NOT and click the damage button, you will see the damage will instead be applied to the character who's turn it is and that character (or characters in the case where several have the same roll) is now highlighted. The Kill, Raise and Roll Save buttons seem uneffected by this problem, they do apply to the correct character. The Duplicate button also manifests this problem. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Tod Milam (tmilam) Date: 2006-06-23 02:55 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=777206 This appears to be an issue on Mac OSX. In fact the GMGen GUI in general seems to behave quite differently on Mac OSX than it does in WinXP. For example clicking on a player in the list on the left of the GUI brings his summary tab into focus on the right when run on the Mac, but doesn't change the tab focus when run on WinXP. When testing for this specific tracker I noticed that when I clicked the Damage button the highlighted character in the list changed to the character with the current initiative. This doesn't happen in WinXP and probably explains the reported behavior. I will continue looking into the problem if someone will assign the tracker to me (I don't appear to have permissions to do so). To be more specific, when you highlight a character who's turn it is not and click the Damage or Heal button the highlight immediately changes back to the character who's turn it is and the damage is applied to him. It does seem to be an intermittent problem, when I tested earlier today it didn't manifest at all, just now as I was testing it started to work correctly. Not sure what I did to make it work right, some combination of clicking on the character sub-tabs. If I figure out what I did I'll let you know. Is this on Mac? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Martijn Verburg (karianna) Date: 2006-03-22 14:50 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=252169 See bug 1028476, has same problem but different buttons - K ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=627102&aid=1357518&group_id=25576 |
