Category: Other Group: To be fixed For 5.10 >Status: Closed >Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Submitted By: Ivan A. Finzen IV (rax_the_grey) Assigned to: Aaron Divinsky (boomer70) Summary: INCLUDE/EXCLUDE Broken for .MOD Initial Comment: It appears that the INCLUDE and EXCLUDE pcc tags don't work with .MODs. I have a pcc that loads the RSRD file by file with an INCLUDE tag on both the base and prestige class lines. I then do the same for the epic data in the experimental list and I get an error that the .MOD for the non-included classes can't be applied because the classes don't exist. I've tried EXCLUDEing the classes I don't want instead and get the same error. Contrary to what I found last post as of 5.9.8 INCLUDE and EXCLUDE are working as near as I can tell. The one problem I found matches the original complaint, and that is that if INCLUDE is used on one of our feat files you will get a bunch of "can't find object to .MOD" errors. The reason for this is simple, in our files we use .MOD to append the DESC on separatly and when INCLUDE or EXCLUDE is used PCGen still tries to MOD them but can't because they are indeed not being loaded. Don't know what can be done about this, in the case of feats the .MOD is in the same file but it is likely that the original complaint originates in .MODs which are in different files. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Eddy Anthony (eddyanthony) Date: 2006-03-24 13:28 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=886893 This can be replicated with a set in our repository, just seen it myself. Change the gameMode to Legends of Excalibre and load that set, it loads parts of the RSRD and has includes on the base class, prestige class and animals files. The dataset also .MODs these objects as well. If I remove the INCLUDE from the file line the file is loaded as it should. If I change the INCLUDE to an EXCLUDE the file is loaded but the EXCLUDEd objects are not excluded, they apear in the program. With the INCLUDE in place the file is not loaded at all, thus causeing the .MOD errors. I don't think this problem has anything to do with .MOD, it is just throwing an error because the objects are not loaded. When I commented out the files which were MODing the included objects it did not change the behaviour, INCLUDE and EXCLUDE were still not working as described about. I think NCLUDE and EXCLUDE are just plain broke. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Martijn Verburg (karianna) Date: 2006-03-21 06:17 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=252169 Devon, this is probably related to some recent bugs in this area (things loasing out of order etc). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=384719&aid=1340752&group_id=25576 |
