Category: Skill Support Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Stefan Radermacher (zaister) >Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: HIDETYPE:SKILL not only hides the type but also skills Initial Comment: If a skill type is defined as being hidden on the skill tab by using either the game mode tag HIDDENSKILLTYPE or the pcc tag HIDETYPE:SKILL, all skills of that type vanish when the skill tab is set to display by Type. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Stefan Radermacher (zaister) Date: 2005-08-15 08:58 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=435051 No, it's not. HIDETYPE is there so you can assign TYPEs to feats or items for internal referencing that should not be listed in the GUI. For example the TYPE "Starting" is assigned to clothing items that are available in the selection for free clothing for a new character. The TYPE is to be hidden, because it is irrelevant as a node in the equipment tree and would only clutter the GUI, so it is hidden from the GUI via a HIDETYPE tag. However, the clothing items should of course appear in the GUI. Another example, you might want to add a type to certain feats that might be available as bonus feats for a prestige class, so you can programmatically select them. Still, you don't want to see that type in the feat tree in the GUI, but of course you want to see the feats. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Greg Bingleman (byngl) Date: 2005-08-15 08:48 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=328527 Isn't this the desired behaviour? AFAIK, it's not the types that are supposed to be hidden, but the items/feats/skills of the specified type... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=384719&aid=1249379&group_id=25576 |
