King (kingpaul) >Assigned to: Miyako Houou (phoenixfyrestar) Summary: FTP load and save for character Initial Comment: Per http://groups.yahoo.com/group/pcgen/message/80698 Hi, Yesterday, my player were getting ready for the game. One of the character was levelling his character... later in game, we saw that he didn't took the right character save to do is levelling (the right version was at work...) One complexe solution would be to have a character server with security and all... the simple solution would be to allow the use of ftp to load and save characters. Almost every one as access to a FTP site. This way, we can always update the right character with no need to email it home or at the office or to the DM.... what do you think? would it be a nice feature? Martin! === Paul W. It would be nice to be able to interface with a number of different network storage mechanisims. I have this exact same problem in my games, so I can really sympathize. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Martijn Verburg (karianna) Date: 2005-09-26 07:22 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=252169 Um, I recommend deleting, thoughts? - K ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=384722&aid=1057177&group_id=25576 |
