Changing the stable version is not something which happens overnight, and we'll always announce it officially. >Actually, I just had a look at the name >of the file I downloaded time ago for 2.1.1 and it's called >"OmegaT_2.1.1_Without_JRE.zip", but I see that in sourceforge there is >only "OmegaT_2.1.1_Beta_Without_JRE.zip" (note the missing "Beta" part >in my downloaded file). Weird, and probably that's why I thought it was >not a beta release... My fault. I realised yesterday that I had forgotten to put _Beta in the file names for 2.1.1, and I corrected it. >So I recently delivered Catalan full localization for OmT 2.1.1 (as >Didier noted in a recent message). >I now see that 2.0.5 "update 1" was recently released. >Having a look inside, the Catalan l10n was (obviously) not updated, >since I delivered 2.1.1 and not 2.0.5. That's not the reason. The reason is that, when we released 2.0.5 update 1, I had not received the Catalan localisation yet. Otherwise, in such situations, I "backport" the localisation to the older branch. >My question is: are there any more planned releases for 2.0.5? Yes (there will be one today), mainly for localisations. >Is it worth working on the Catalan localization for 2.0.5 update1 or do >you plan to transition to stable 2.1.x soon (in which case, I assume the >Catalan l18n would appear in that branch, so it would not be worth to >start working on 2.0.5) We won't switch 2.1 to stable "soon". So, either localise only the Beta, knowing that the backport of the localisation is not always perfect, or do both localisations. The differences are usually minimal so (with OmegaT!) it is not really a big work maintaining both versions. Didier |
