Bugs item #1031572, was opened at 2004-09-21 09:14 Message generated for change (Comment added) made by cjohns You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=102435&aid=1031572&group_id=2435 Category: gdb Group: Feature requests Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Gabriel Linder (mingwlinder) Assigned to: Chris Johns (cjohns) Summary: GDB (maybe readline) broken keys Initial Comment: I use GDB 5.2.1 on Windows XP with SP2, and a french layout keyboard. On GDB prompt, the keys '[', ']' and '@' don't work, but the '#' is all right. All these keys are dependant of "ALT GR" key, so I think it was a readline misconfiguration, but a .inputrc like this : set convert-meta off set output-meta on set input-meta on doesn't solve my problem. Note than the .inputrc file is read since I set properly the HOME environment variable. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Chris Johns (cjohns) Date: 2004-09-21 10:24 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=197074 I will make a version based on GDB 6.2.1 next weekend, if time permits, and then I may need ask you to help debug and resolve this problem. I do not have access to a french keyboard. Would you be able to help debug the french keyboard ? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Gabriel Linder (mingwlinder) Date: 2004-09-21 10:06 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1121203 I just tried the two packages gdb-6.0-20031011.exe and gdb-20040521-1.exe, and unfortunately none of them works for this point (I tried with and without my custom .inputrc file). Note that the '#' key doen't work anymore with these two packages :( ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Chris Johns (cjohns) Date: 2004-09-21 09:54 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=197074 There are later snapshots of GDB on the download page. Do any of these provide better french keyboard support ? The snapshots have a different readline patch for MinGW. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=102435&aid=1031572&group_id=2435 |
