Earnie, I am sure you or one of the other developers will probably check this and/or discard it, but felt I should at least throw in my thoughts on the poll even though it may be discarded. My vote on the poll would be "Don't add more posix capability to MinGW". Msys, as far as I am concerned, is different than MinGW and has different needs.
