Actually, you could just change your main mingw directory name to something shorter than mingw32 or gcc-2.95.2. I tried both on the Win95 box I have here (as noted below), and when I used "mingw32" or "gcc-2.95.2" I managed to break the path. This is a limitation of the Win95 OS. Two options (workarounds), rename your old mingw directory to something like "mingw" or do a fresh install to a new directory which has a name shorter than eight characters. I should also note that I am starting Mingw (under Win95) using a .pif file which invokes a .bat file, which in turn sets up the ms-dos working environment. My .bat file sets PATH "c:\mingw\bin";%PATH% Peace, Paul G. Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. |
