Bugs item #935348, was opened at 2004-04-14 20:38 Message generated for change (Tracker Item Submitted) made by Item Submitter You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=102435&aid=935348&group_id=2435 Category: binutils Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: E King (fatcatfan) Assigned to: Danny Smith (dannysmith) Summary: ld doesn't accept msys paths from gcc for -Map output Initial Comment: If ld gets passed, via gcc, something like -Wl,-Map,/mingw/foo/bar.map it will halt with 'cannot open map file /mingw/foo/bar.map: No such file or directory' if the directory does not exist in outside of the msys environment. That is, even though /mingw/foo/bar.c might exist under msys and be a perfectly valid path to pass to GCC or other tools, if it is not a valid path to Windows, ld will abort. The problem likely exists in other places. I've checked, and directly calling ld with the same option does not suffer the same problem. $ ld -v GNU ld version 2.13.90 20030111 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=102435&aid=935348&group_id=2435 |
