Win2k, and the only console output is a single line printing the elapsed rendering time, and no, minimizing the console doesn't help.... To elaborate more, when linked with the SDLmain with stdio redirection (to stdout.txt, etc.), the performance returns to about 6 sec in the Win32 console, except the redirected stdout.txt file shows up as a 678KB file filled with blanks, and my single line of message at the very bottom (This could be SDL's problem, I don't know...) The slow performance happens when linked as a normal console app (WITHOUT stdio redirection, and no -mwindows); I switched the display backend code to use another library(TinyPTC) to test, and the performance was still about 22 sec, so I think this is a MinGW/MSYS problem ......
