I tried the binutils-19990818 and runtime-20000327 and I could generate the gcc.dll file with no problems. Also, I can compile against libgcc.a without getting any unresolved symbols. However, my programs keep crashing. They compile fine and they are able to create threads, but they usually segfault when I try to join them. I am trying to use gtk with pthreads. The programs always crash when the g_thread_init function is called. I have tried the old pthreads lib supplied with Tor Lillqvist's Gimp distro, and the latest pthread-w32, extracted directly from the package or compiled by myself. I have also tried to link both dynamical and statically. This is drivin' me nutz ;^/ .
