Because perl is presently belly up,

(bad choice of words, I was mixing tequila and beer at Linux Expo :( last nite)

I'm doing admin in KSH, for the time being.  I cant really advocate perl w/o
attracting critisism about the three last _bogus_ releases.

I'm doing all my s/w distribution and now my cgi's in ksh.

My big question about make is why isnt it a shell extenision ??  Why use a
different language.

I should ask David Korn.  Maybe I can convince him to create loadable modules. 
**Wait, its open source, anybody can.  But it makes sense to get direction from
the guru first.  I cant code in C.  Major, major, self-esteem problem.
