Is it enough to take sources ("gdb+dejagnu-5.3.0.90_20030122.tar.bz2") fand compile it with the full mingw package? And what is needed to debug gdb? I have software wich uses gdb and there is gdb internal error I want to try to debug and fix. eu...@al... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Eugene Maltsev (slimering) Date: 2003-02-18 08:30 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=629594 Thanks. I'll see what I can do. What do you use to debug gdb? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Eugene Maltsev (slimering) Date: 2003-02-18 08:29 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=629594 Thanks. I'll see what I can do. How do you debug gdb? What tools do you use? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Earnie Boyd (earnie) Date: 2003-02-18 01:38 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=15438 You may now download this from http://prdownloads.sf.net/mingw/gdb-5.2.1-1-src.tar.gz?download. The binary distribution http://prdownloads.sf.net/mingw/gdb-5.2.1-1.exe?download contains a doc/gdb/PORTPATCH that contains the differences. Earnie. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Eugene Maltsev (slimering) Date: 2003-01-28 09:01 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=629594 Ok. I'll subscribe me to the list. But I don't think I'll be the one maintaining this package because the project I'm doing now connected with gdb is planned for some specific time. I'll try to fix the bugs I can and need. Use eu...@al... Can you tell me more about how there is a build being made for now? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Earnie Boyd (earnie) Date: 2003-01-27 23:06 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=15438 Hmm... It appears the developer uploaded only the differences file to the site https://sourceforge.net/project/shownotes.php?release_id=115315. I didn't catch this till now. So I assume you can apply the diffferences file to the gdb-5.2.1 source on the ftp.gnu.org site. Sorry, I know this needs corrected ASAP. I'm wanting to get a build of insight gdb going but haven't had enough round tuits to debug the build. If you are really interested in getting the Win32 version debugged I could add you to the list of mingw developers and you can join the mingw-dvlpr mail list. I really need for someone to take on the maintenance of this package. As for debugging a debugger, you use a known working debugger. As for dejagnu, I've not tried that. I've also just noticed a gdb-5.3 release at ftp.gnu.org with a Dec 12th date. Perhaps you should use that to debug this. HTH and good luck, Earnie. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Eugene Maltsev (slimering) Date: 2003-01-27 13:43 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=629594 Waiting... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Earnie Boyd (earnie) Date: 2003-01-27 13:01 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=15438 I'll get back with you on this. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=202435&aid=675297&group_id=2435 |
