I could upload a debug version of ld to get more detailed info, but it would probably only be useful if you have either gdb or DrMingw installed. Also the new ld has changes that allow direct importing of data from dlls (without import lib). This uses significantly less memory and may be a workaround for your problem. Yes, this is used a lot. I downloaded the binutils-020925 snapshot, compiled and tried but the crash is still there. Steffen ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Danny Smith (dannysmith) Date: 2002-09-28 15:10 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=11494 Do you use --auto-import feature extensively while linking? If so this post may be relavant: http://sources.redhat.com/ml/binutils/2001- 09/msg00062.html I thought the memory leak bug had been fixed here: 2001-09-14 Ralf Habacker <Ral...@fr...> * pe-dll.c (pe_walk_relocs_of_symbol): Fix memory leak. but maybe lingering issues.
