Does anyone have a method to set the properties of > the shortcut? Preferably from an MSYS shell script. No way to define windows shortcuts, afaik, from within Msys shell script. If modifications to shortcut are necessary, then I think they should be enabled during installation of Msys and that that installation needs to be based on Windows versions numbers for lack of anything else. I know the install package can support shortcut modifications, although they (both the package and the method) are not very intuitive in terms of how shortcut modifications are supported and/or enabled. re: 2048 for /E setting, not sure it is sufficient. At 4096, I still run into situations where there is a whole lot of stuff in memory and Win9x/Me tend to choke (ie. die). Paul G. |
