Yes, thanks Paul, you had the patience to explain and I am completely out of it. Not only "we recommend" but in fact it is *built in* to Automake to create a VPATH entry. Oh, and as you noted, GNU 'make' is not the only 'make' that understands VPATH. Best, Soren A |
