Thanks for any comments and ideas. KR> The current Cygwin libs and headers seem to be for '/usr/lib' and KR> '/usr/include'. So it claims to be "the native C-compiler for Win32". Nope, it claims to be default full-fledged POSIX environment for Win32, and that's right. Other stuff having such attitudes would also have /usr prefix (e.g., my PW32 has). KR> No arguments seen from the Mingw-people yet... Why, there's no problem with that. There were perceived problems with dll names - I proposed cygwin to use 'cyg' prefix for its, while leaving 'lib' for Mingw, as the most native win32 target, and it somewhat succeed. But there's really no reason to have '/usr' ambitions. It was agreed '/mingw' as the default prefix for mingw. KR> The Unix-environment under Windoze sounds more 'alien' at least for me... Hm, strange. From post I understood that you use crosscompiler on Linux, etc. Don't you think it's very expensive (in terms of invaluable resource - brain load) to keep in mind pecularities of windoze installs, while there's simple and genuine technique for installation exists?
