   COM doesn't support inheritance, except for deriving one interface from
another. It does support exposing more than one interface from an object and
the implementation technique often used is multiple inheritance. That is
what I thought Chris was interested in - not 'how could I implement this
design' but 'what does the compiler do to make COM work if I write my code
like this'.
