Javier has tested GCC front end, with the patchs changing DIR_SEPARATOR tests to IS_DIR_SEPARATOR. The error he reports is from pexecute. DIR_SEPARATOR is also used in toplevel.c (entry to cc1.exe/cc1plus.exe) and in prefix.c (updates paths from internal to external form). What I'm saying is that I can't do much more until I can test locally on W95. In particular, how sensistive are W95 spawn functions to '/' vs '\\'. The "quick fix" of reverting DIR_SEPARATOR back to '\\' worked for Javier. Does anybody else want to test that one?
