I recently updated/reinstalled my mingw gcc. I simply typed "mingw-get install --reinstall gcc". And now I can't compile a thing anymore. It seems to look in the old gcc directory for files that are obviously only in the newer gcc folder. This is the errors I get compiling even a hello world program:
In file included from c:\mingw\bin\../lib/gcc/mingw32/4.5.2/include/c++/cwchar:44:0, from c:\mingw\bin\../lib/gcc/mingw32/4.5.2/include/c++/bits/postypes.h:42, from c:\mingw\bin\../lib/gcc/mingw32/4.5.2/include/c++/iosfwd:42, from c:\mingw\bin\../lib/gcc/mingw32/4.5.2/include/c++/ios:39, from c:\mingw\bin\../lib/gcc/mingw32/4.5.2/include/c++/ostream:40, from c:\mingw\bin\../lib/gcc/mingw32/4.5.2/include/c++/iostream:40, from testprog.cpp:1: c:\mingw\bin\../lib/gcc/mingw32/4.5.2/include/c++/cstddef:44:20: fatal error: stddef.h: No such file or directory compilation terminated.
As you can see it looks in the older 4.5.2 folder while the newer installed gcc is 4.6.2. I hope its an easy problem to fix. -- View this message in context: http://old.nabble.com/Problem-while-updating-mingw-tp34291197p34291197.html Sent from the MinGW - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |
