Category: MinGW Installer >Group: None Status: Open Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Niamh (claire81) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: GNU C Compiler is not avaliable in command prompt - Help Initial Comment: After installing MinGw, I tried to test the avaliablity of the GNU C compiler in the administrator command prompt by typing gcc -v However it I get the same message each time: 'gcc' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable programe or batch file. I don't know where the problem is as I have added the location to the system path.. Has anyone had similar problems or have any advice? Thank you! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Earnie Boyd (earnie) Date: 2012-08-06 06:34 Message: Obviously you did not get GCC installed for some reason.
