You might want to use Cygwin instead. MingW is meant to compile programs as native Win32 programs, not as POSIX programs. With Cygwin, you get a POSIX emulation layer, which makes it trivial to "port" POSIX programs, at the cost of some runtime speed. Hth, Dscho |
