Hi, If I add into x86-mingw32-build.sh.conf option TARGET_CPU i686 to the line just above option CFLAGS_FOR_RUNTIME -march=${TARGET_CPU-i386} I get the following errors not far into the build process: checking where to find the target windres... just compiled checking whether to enable maintainer-specific portions of Makefiles... no checking whether -fkeep-inline-functions is supported... yes updating cache ./config.cache creating ./config.status creating Makefile make[1]: Entering directory `/tmp/w32-20080116-3.4.5-sjlj/build/binutils-2.17.50-20060824-1-src/build' /bin/sh: -c: line 15: unexpected EOF while looking for matching `'' /bin/sh: -c: line 17: syntax error: unexpected end of file make[1]: *** [configure-intl] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/w32-20080116-3.4.5-sjlj/build/binutils-2.17.50-20060824-1-src/build' make: *** [all] Error 2 ./x86-mingw32-build.sh: unrecoverable error building binutils so, question is, what can I do to build an i686 version of mingw? And, is there any reason to build anything less than an i686 version, when the program won't be run on anything older than a computer of a couple of years old. cheers Paul |
