This is due to the fact that the headers and libraries are added to
the w32api by various developers on a best-effort type commitment
based on information provided by MSDN and various other sources on the
web.

If you are willing to provide patches for  HID device headers and
libraries (be sure not to use the actual Microsoft headers and library
files as sources), I'd be willing to apply them.
