[Mingw-users] How to implement a unix-style inetd server in MinGW

Hello,

I'm attempting to port a Linux app to MinGW which has gone pretty well.

My final hurdle is to implement a Windows equivalent of my inetd server to
actually run the app. In Linux I have a server process listening on a port
that authenticates the user (by username and password) then does an su to
the user and execs a script that runs the application.

I guess this is a bit OT for this list but I'd really appreciate some
guidance as to how to achieve it on Windows using MinGW from someone out
there who has already done battle in this arena!

I've come across WinInetd (http://www.xmailserver.org/wininetd.html)  and a
few MSDN articles like
