I did find this paragraph in MSDN. It appears that you could always use SQL_PARAM_INPUT_OUTPUT and check the returned values after execute. -- from msdn-- SQL_PARAM_INPUT_OUTPUT. The parameter marks an input/output parameter in a procedure. For example, the parameter in {call GetEmpDept(?)} is an input/output parameter that accepts an employee's name and returns the name of the employee's department. When the statement is executed, the driver sends data for the parameter to the data source; the *ParameterValuePtr buffer must contain a valid input value, or the *StrLen_or_IndPtr buffer must contain SQL_NULL_DATA, SQL_DATA_AT_EXEC, or the result of the SQL_LEN_DATA_AT_EXEC macro. After the statement is executed, the driver returns data for the parameter to the application; if the data source does not return a value for an input/output parameter, the driver sets the *StrLen_or_IndPtr buffer to SQL_NULL_DATA. ----- Original Message ----- From: <hm...@gm...> To: <min...@li...> Sent: Wednesday, February 23, 2005 4:56 AM Subject: [Mingw-users] odbc gurus > Hi! > Are there any odbc-gurus here?
