Hi, I'm trying to build a cross-compilation environment for building Windows binaries on a Linux box. I'm running debian-unstable and gcc 3.3.2 and using the build-cross.sh script from SDL's website (available at <http://www.libsdl.org/extras/win32/cross/build-cross.sh>), but I'm running into problems. Basically, this script downloads and attempts to compile a bunch of stuff from mingw in order to prepare a gcc and libs for cross-compiling SDL programs. However, the process errors out trying to build binutils. The relevant tail of the log is below; I've posted the entire log to <http://bellsouthpwp.net/d/a/davies42/makelog.txt>. Any help anyone can give me on this would be much appreciated. Alternatively, if you feel I should be asking about this on an SDL mailing list, feel free to tell me where to go. ;-) gcc -W -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -Wmissing-prototypes -g -O2 -o objdump objdump.o budemang.o prdbg.o rddbg.o debug.o stabs.o ieee.o rdcoff.o bucomm.o version.o filemode.o ../opcodes/.libs/libopcodes.a ../bfd/.libs/libbfd.a ../libiberty/libiberty.a ./../intl/libintl.a bucomm.o(.text+0x4c9): In function `make_tempname': /tmp/source/binutils-2.13.90-20030111-1-src/binutils/bucomm.c:238: the use of `mktemp' is dangerous, better use `mkstemp' /bin/sh /tmp/source/binutils-2.13.90-20030111-1-src/binutils/../ylwrap "" /tmp/source/binutils-2.13.90-20030111-1-src/binutils/arparse.y y.tab.c arparse.c y.tab.h arparse.h -- -d /tmp/source/binutils-2.13.90-20030111-1-src/binutils/../ylwrap: line 86: -d: command not found make[3]: *** [arparse.c] Error 1 make[3]: Leaving directory `/tmp/binutils-i386-mingw32msvc/binutils' make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/tmp/binutils-i386-mingw32msvc/binutils' make[1]: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/binutils-i386-mingw32msvc/binutils' make: *** [all-binutils] Error 2 -- __ __ / ) / ) /--/ __. __ ________ / / __. , __o _ _ / (_(_/|_/ (_(_) / / <_ /__/_(_/|_\/ <__</_/_)_ |
