I downloaded mingw-gcc 3.4 (20030830) from http://www.thisiscool.com/gcc_mingw.htm and I tried to use precompiled headers, but it didn't work: F:\temp\1>g++ hi.h hi.h:2: fatal error: can't read C:\DOCUME~1\aditsu\LOCALS~1\Temp/ccaekaaa.s: No such file or directory compilation terminated. (at this point, a file called "hi.h.gch" was generated in spite of the error) F:\temp\1>g++ hi.cpp -o hi.exe -s hi.cpp:1:16: reading: No such file or directory hi.cpp:-91: fatal error: can't read PCH file: No such file or directory compilation terminated. //hi.cpp #include "hi.h" int main() { std::cout<<"hi\n"; } //hi.h #include <iostream> the compilation works if I don't attempt to use precompiled headers I'd like to know if there's something I'm doing wrong (or something I missed), or precompiled headers simply don't work yet in this version I know it's under heavy development, experimental, etc. but I am curious :) thanks Adrian |
