Personally I'm not very interested in non-standard items 1-11, but Jonathan Wilson wrote: > > 12.does MingW have Microsoft compatible versions of > vector, map, stack, string, list and locale? libstdc++ http://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/libstdc++/documentation.html strives to be compatible with the language standard. They publish their defects, e.g. http://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/libstdc++/17_intro/BUGS You can read more on their mailing list and defect database. Here http://www.dinkumware.com/conform_cpp.html is a comparison that favors dinkumware's products. "Obviously, it would help to know the detailed reasons why each library achieved a less than perfect score. For competitive reasons, we're not yet prepared to publish all those details." Read all the other caveats too. A while back, the vendor ranked lowest here published its own analysis that showed its own product was the best, though I'd consider Plauger more credible than them. Bottom line: You're probably going to be OK. Standard Library implementation have gotten much better in recent years. |
