You nee to load the richedit dll before you can use the class.

    LoadLibrary("RichEd20.dll");

This will load and register  the richedit class.

You've probably got about 3 richedit dlls to choose from, but you should
load RichEd20.dll.  This dll actually refers to versions 2 and 3.  The name
was kept for compatability.
