Hi, I have a problem compiling my "hello-World"-program. I downloaded the actual package, mingw2.0.0-3.exe, installed it in c:\mingw, included C:\MinGW\bin in the path variable, and called g++ main.cpp with main.cpp: ////////// #include <iostream> int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { cout<<"Hello World"<<'\n'; return 0; } ////////// It produced a long error message. Here is the last part of it (I could not redirect it into a file): C:/MinGW/include/c++/3.2/bits/type_traits.h:54:28: bits/c++config.h: No such file or directory In file included from C:/MinGW/include/c++/3.2/bits/stl_algobase.h:73, from C:/MinGW/include/c++/3.2/memory:54, from C:/MinGW/include/c++/3.2/string:48, from C:/MinGW/include/c++/3.2/bits/localefwd.h:49, from C:/MinGW/include/c++/3.2/ios:48, from C:/MinGW/include/c++/3.2/ostream:45, from C:/MinGW/include/c++/3.2/iostream:45, from main.cpp:1: C:/MinGW/include/c++/3.2/bits/stl_iterator_base_types.h:100: parse error before `,' token C:/MinGW/include/c++/3.2/bits/stl_iterator_base_types.h:106: template declaration of `typedef _Tp std::value_type' C:/MinGW/include/c++/3.2/bits/stl_iterator_base_types.h:106: confused by earlier errors, bailing out I tried to set some environment variables, but without success. It is a difficult problem for me since I am new to C++ and MinGW. It would be very nice if someone could give me a hint of how to make MinGW work on my PC. Kind regards, Karsten. |
