[Mingw-users] implicit declaration of function `int access(...)'

Hello again. 

I'm trying to compile this piece of code and I get
this error message: 

implicit declaration of function `int access(...)' 

The line is: 

return access((const char *)path, mode); 

So I understand that this function is not implemented
at Wing32.

Does anybody have any experience with the purpose of
'access' function?
